It\u2019s a 5 chapters manga licensed in English by <a href=\"http:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/2020\/03\/27\/conheca-a-futekiya\/\">futekiya<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main character is Ryuta, an ordinary 16-year-old who lives in a village. One day, Ryuta meets Izumo, the exorcist that save his life when a snake youkai attacked him when he was a child, who promised to take him in an adventure when he got older. However, Izumo has no recollection of Ryuta, nor of the promise he made.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"494\" height=\"412\" src=\"http:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-12.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5918\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-12.png 494w, https:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-12-400x334.png 400w, https:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-12-440x367.png 440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 494px) 100vw, 494px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>While fighting a youkai, Izumo gets hurt and Ryuta, feeling responsible for his wound, decides to accompany him in his journey. Then, the pair starts traveling together from village to village, fighting youkai and spirits as they try to learn more about Ryuta\u2019s past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although we see Ryuta and Izumo\u2019s relationship deepening through the story, I\u2019d say that it\u2019s not the main focus of the manga. It\u2019s more about Ryuta\u2019s growth and the mysteries surrounding his past that even himself has no idea about.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"528\" height=\"321\" src=\"http:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-13.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5919\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-13.png 528w, https:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-13-400x243.png 400w, https:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-13-440x268.png 440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 528px) 100vw, 528px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This manga reminded me of <em>Fukigen na Mononokean <\/em>(The Morose Mononokean). Even the main characters\u2019 personalities are similar in both works. I like stories surrounding youkai and other supernatural entities, even more when those creatures have their own stories and personalities, instead of being just another monster being defeated by the protagonist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fujitobi\u2019s drawing style is extremely cute and cartoon-like, it matches the story\u2019s tone.&nbsp; I think an animation based on this manga would look amazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"714\" height=\"552\" src=\"http:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-15.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5921\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-15.png 714w, https:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-15-400x309.png 400w, https:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-15-650x503.png 650w, https:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/12\/image-15-440x340.png 440w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 714px) 100vw, 714px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019d say that the only negative aspect of Faded Picture Scroll is that it is way too short.&nbsp; Of course, all main conflicts presented in the story are resolved throughout the five chapters, it doesn\u2019t have an open ending, but I\u2019d love to see more of Izumo and Ryuta\u2019s daily life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Faded Picture Scroll is a short and sweet manga for those who love adventure stories with bit of romance.&nbsp;<strong>You can read it officially on <a href=\"http:\/\/blyme-yaoi.com\/2018\/2020\/03\/27\/conheca-a-futekiya\/\">futekiya<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Classification: \ud83c\udf4b\ud83c\udf4b Awairo Emaki&nbsp;(Faded Picture Scroll) is a manga written by Fujitobi, published on 2018 on Home-Sha\u2019s .Bloom magazine.
